Rayson left Target in October 2011, ahead of the company moving into administration after parent Metronome failed to find a buyer earlier this year.

She has now resurfaced as CEO of Raydar Media, a new “content management and creation company” that will collaborate with independent producers to create and finance new content and IP.

This original content will then be distributed by DLT/Raydar Rights, the name of the joint sales venture set up by Rayson and DLT that will handle international distribution of finished programmes and formats across all genres.

It will be the exclusive worldwide sales partner for finished programmes and formats from Raydar, and third-party producers and suppliers, and DLT’s exclusive distributor for its own content around the world, excluding the US and the UK.

As part of the deal, My Family producer/distributor DLT will distribute all finished programming from DLT/Raydar in the US, as well as its own content. However, US adaptations of DLT/Raydar formats will be jointly handled by DLT and Raydar.

Rayson said: “My passion has and always will be working collaboratively with content creators and independent producers to create global television shows and more recently transmedia brands.

“Partnering with [DLT chief] Don L Taffner Jr through Raydar Media in a new distribution venture unites our strengths and offers international producers a home that will focus on achieving the best sales results and service.”

The board of DLT/Raydar Media will Taffner, president of DLT, as chairman; Rayson as CEO of DLT/Raydar Rights and Raydar Media; and Jeff Cotugno, as chief operating officer of DLT Entertainment.

DLT’s credits include My Family, As Time Goes By, Too Close For Comfort and Meet My Folks. It has also sold The Benny Hill Show, The World at War and The Russ Abbot Show.
