DLT appoints A&E, Bravo alum

UK and US producer-distributor DLT Entertainment has appointed a former A&E, Bravo and Ovation exec to work across its programme sales in the US.

Kris Slava becomes senior sales consultant, based in New York, and is charged with increasing distribution of DLT’s finished programming slate focusing on cable, commercial syndication, digital and streaming services.

Slava reports to Don Taffner Jr, president at DLT, which sells shows including sitcoms Three’s Company (based on Thames TV’s Man About the House) and DLT’s own productions such as My Family and As Time Goes By.

DLT is also developing a UK version of Scandi drama Nurses, following a deal with Swedish distributor Eccho Rights.

Taffner Jr said Slava “is a rare breed, having worked as a network executive on the commissioning side, a creative and a sales agent. We are delighted that he has joined us as we continue to grow our business in the US and look to new growth opportunities in the international market.”

Slava was senior VP of programming and production at Ovation and was also behind a relaunch of Bravo’s online offering.
