Disney ups Endemaño to global role

MIPCOM: Walt Disney International has promoted a senior distribution executive to an expanded role covering all of the company’s markets outside North America.

Mark Endemaño

Mark Endemaño, currently senior VP and general manager of media distribution for EMEA, will add responsibility for Disney’s international regions – North and South Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and Latin America – to his current duties.

Endemaño will oversee commercial strategies for linear TV and digital distribution for all of the company’s international assets, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm movies, ABC Studios and the Disney channels.

Endemaño has been in his current EMEA role since 2014. Previously, he was chief financial officer for The Walt Disney Company EMEA, and before that, senior VP of finance and business operations for Disney Media Networks.

Prior to joining Disney, Endemaño was a director at consultancy firm Deloitte’s media and entertainment practice.

Andy Bird, chairman of Walt Disney International, said that Endemaño’s new responsibilities would allow the company to “harmonise our strategies and approach with existing and future partners around the world.”

Endemaño added: “We are in a period of immense and exciting change in how our fans consume our great content. It’s essential we are future-focused in how we work with both our partners and directly to audiences.”
