Disney rocks out in France

Disney Channel and pubcaster France Télélevisions are onboard a new animated series from the creators of Totally Spies, featuring magic, mystery and music.

Lolirock

Lolirock (52×26′) is being produced by Zodiak Kids-owned Marathon Media and follows the journey of a teenage girl after she joins a band.

Marathon CEO Vincent Chalvon-Demersay and general manager David Michel said: “Lolirock is a fresh, contemporary take on what it is to be a girl today, infused with music and magical adventures and the all-important notion of justice in today’s teenage world.”

The show, aimed at six- to 12-year-olds, will launch in early 2014, first on France Télélevisions, followed by Disney Channel in France. Zodiak Kids holds all television rights to the series.
