Disney returns to The Lodge

The Lodge is based on Disney Channel Israel series North Star

Disney EMEA has greenlit a second season of its live-action drama The Lodge, with filming due to begin in Northern Ireland in early 2017.

The series, produced by Zodiak Kids Studios, is a remake of the Disney Channel Israel teen drama North Star and has aired on the Mouse House channel around the world.

It tells the story of a teenage girl who returns with her father to her childhood holiday lodge in Northern Ireland following the death of her mother.

Raymond Lau of Zodiak Kids Studios UK will return to produce the 15×22′ new season, with Steven Andrew and Lee Walters on board as executive producer and head writer respectively.

The Lodge follows other Disney EMEA commissions such as The Evermoor Chronicles, Violetta, Henry Hugglemonster and Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja.
