Disney explores more Marvel Universe

Disney XD has ordered second seasons of two shows from its Marvel Universe programming block.

Both Marvel’s Avengers Assemble and Hulk & the Agents of SMASH will return to Disney XD later this year, it was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend.

The new episodes are currently in production with Marvel Television, a subsidiary of Marvel Entertainment that was acquired by The Walt Disney Company in 2009. It is known for producing Marvel’s Agents of Shield with ABC Studios for US network ABC.

Marvel’s Avengers Assemble sees a group of super heroes unite to defeat some of the most infamous villains, while Hulk & the Agents of SMASH sees the larger-than-life character battle evil with the help of a team including She-Hulk.
