Disney-ABC models Banks talkshow

Disney-ABC has recruited supermodel and America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) creator Tyra Banks to front a new syndicated daily lifestyle talkshow, beginning in 2015.

The as-yet-untitled daytime talker will be hosted and exec produced by Banks and aims to motivate viewers and improve their lives with guidance from experts and celebrities.

Disney-ABC says the show, to be produced by its subsidiary Summerdale Productions, will incorporate Banks’ social media reach of more than 28 million followers to create a cross-platform experience.

Banks, who began her modelling career aged 15, is also the creator and presenter of fashion competition reality series ANTM, which currently airs in 186 countries and has 26 international versions, including in Asia and Africa.
