US pay TV provider Dish Network and subscription streamer Hulu have stocked up on classic animated titles to offer on-demand to their customers.

Televisa’s El Chavo Animando, the animated series based on popular Mexican sitcom El Chavo del Ocho, and Wendy (26×24′) are available now to Dish Network and Hulu subscribers.

Wendy is produced by the UK’s Red Kite Wendy production outfit for Wendy Promotions and is aimed at 6-11s. It follows an accomplished teenage rider and showjumper as she experiences the dramas of adolescence.

The shows were acquired from US children’s VoD service Kabillion, where the series are also available on demand.

“These new deals come as part of Kabillion’s expanded business model of bringing third-party content into the US market via Kabillion TV on Demand, building the audience, generating ad venue and then monetising the content through distribution on other digital platforms,” said David Di Lorenzo, VP of sales and digital distribution for Kabillion.

Kabillion is owned by Splash Entertainment (fka Moonscoop USA) and claims to currently be available in more than 50 million US homes.
