Discovery ups Sauerhoff

Gabriel Sauerhoff

Discovery Communications has promoted Gabriel Sauerhoff to senior VP of digital distribution.

Previously VP of digital media distribution, Sauerhoff will now oversee strategy, development and execution of Discovery’s digital media distribution business.

Working with pay TV operators and digital content distributors, Sauerhoff will help expand Discovery’s offerings on mobile, online and emerging platforms with content from the broadcast group’s portfolio of 13 US networks.

Sauerhoff, who has been with the US factual giant for seven years, reports to Eric Phillips, president of domestic distribution.

Prior to joining Discovery in 2010, Sauerhoff held both senior director and manager positions in digital video distribution at Disney and ESPN Media Networks.
