Discovery lets Mad Dog off the leash

Discovery in the US has greenlit a documentary series about military weapons and tools manufacturer Kevin ‘Mad Dog’ McClung for its flagship channel.

Mad Dog Made follows outdoorsman and scientist McClung and his apprentice daughter creating state-of-the-art hand-held weapons and tools for the US military, emergency services personnel and even astronauts.

Episodes will feature equipment ranging from the tactical fire axe to a super-long-range rifle used to defend against weapons of mass destruction.

Produced for Discovery Channel by Rogue Atlas Productions in association with Lionsgate TV, the show will debut on August 3.
