Discovery delves into Castro’s Cuba

The show looks at Castro through the eyes of those who have spied on him

Discovery Networks International (DNI) and Discovery-owned US cablenet American Heroes Channel is preparing a one-hour doc about the life of Cuban leader Fidel Castro.

Castro: The World’s Most Watched Man (1×60′, working title) is being produced by Pacha Films and explores the Cuban leader’s life through the eyes of the spies who have observed him for more than 50 years.

The show, which comes after Cuba and the US recently agreed to restore diplomatic relations, is being produced for Discovery Networks Latin America/US Hispanic and American Heroes Channel, with Pacha Films’ Luis Del Valle and Discovery’s Michela Giorelli among exec producers.

It will premiere on American Heroes and on DNI’s global factual channels in more than 220 countries and territories later this year.
