Digiturk travels with CNN show

Turkish satellite platform Digiturk has picked up four seasons of a food and travel show that first aired on US newscaster CNN.

Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown (24×60′) follows the famous chef and author as he travels across the globe to uncover little-known locations to explore food and dining rituals.

The series was produced by Zero Point Zero for CNN and has subsequently aired in more than 65 countries. Earlier this year Endemol Worldwide Distribution picked up sales rights for the show, which will air on Digiturk’s channel 17, known as Home TV.

The programme, along with Morgan Spurlock-fronted series Inside Man, represented a headline-grabbing change of tack from CNN, which hired NBCUniversal veteran Jeff Zucker as president to lead a push into returnable factual series for primetime and weekends in November 2012.
