Digital original trio head to Viceland

The Trixie & Katya Show is set to make its Viceland debut

Youth-skewing network Viceland is bringing three digital originals to TV whilst renewing four of its existing series for its fall line-up in the US.

New shows set to make their debut on Viceland include weekly comedy talkshow The Trixie & Katya Show, which stars RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova.

The format is based on the YouTube show UNHhhh, which sees the pair discussing anything and everything from their distinct points of view. It will be produced by World of Wonder, the prodco behind RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Elsewhere, Most Expensivest Sh*t is an extended linear version of the digital series of the same name fronted by hip-hop star 2 Chainz. It is a coproduction from Condé Nast Entertainment, GQ.com and Mustache.

Meanwhile, skate doc series Epicly Later’d is also making the transition from online to TV, having been one of Vice’s first forays into video in the early 2000s.

Viceland has also renewed existing series Bong Appétit, Weediquette, Cyberwar and Hamilton’s Pharmacopeia.

Vice partnered with A+E Networks to launch Viceland as a cablenet in the US last year as part of its strategy to make its programming available in more than 80 territories by the end of 2017.
