Digital Media adds kids’ service

US video aggregator and publisher Digital Media Rights (DMR) has launched an ad-supported VoD streaming service for children and families.

Cocoro features television series and movies dubbed into English and its entire line-up is available to watch for free.

A US$1.99 monthly subscription option is also available for the ad-free version of the service, which is currently available on Roku, the web and mobile.

It will soon arrive on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Vizio and LG Smart TVs, according to DMR.

Its library includes Telmo & Tula, an animated series coproduced by Disney Iberia and Motion Pictures; Kung Food and the animated film Pororo to the Cookie Castle.

Cocoro is DMR’s fourth OTT channel after the New York-based company launched services focusing on the horror, pan-Asian and general entertainment genres.

“There are great kids’ television shows and movies produced all over the world that we are not exposed to through traditional media outlets here in the US,” said Michael Hong, CEO and co-founder of DMR.

“Cocoro will feature many of these amazing programmes that are not only beautifully animated but have wonderful stories and characters that are engaging and fun.”
