Diaz to make Epix exit

The head of original programming at Epix is leaving the MGM-owned US pay TV network after three years in the role.

Jocelyn Diaz

Former Walt Disney Television exec Jocelyn Diaz has spearheaded a scripted push at Epix since the beginning of 2015, resulting in series such as Berlin Station and Get Shorty.

Her departure comes shortly after Michael Wright, who exited his post as CEO of Amblin Entertainment in September, began as president at Epix on December 4.

In a statement, Wright thanked Diaz for her efforts building Epix’s slate of original programming and said she was leaving to pursue other opportunities.

Series in the pipeline at Epix include The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair, based on the novel of the same name by Joël Dicker, and a second season of Get Shorty, both of which will be produced by MGM Television.

MGM became the sole owner of the network last year after buying out the stakes of Viacom and Lionsgate.
