DHX unveils Family Channel app

DHX Media in Canada has launched a video-on-demand app containing programming drawn from its trio of linear channels.

The Family Channel app features more than 900 episodes from 40 series across Family Channel, Family CHRGD and Family Jr, as well as teen-skewing programming block F2N.

The app is free to Family subscribers and launched yesterday in Canada with the new Family Channel sitcom Raising Expectations, which makes its network debut on May 8.

“Giving viewers further flexibility to watch the Family Channel content they love whenever they want and through the screen that best suits their lifestyle not only adds value but provides a customisable viewing experience that subscribers can take advantage of,” said Joe Tedesco, general manager and senior VP of DHX Television.
