De Moraes out in Twofour restructure

ITV-owned Twofour Group has rejigged its senior management team, with its head of new formats departing after less than a year in the role and another exec promoted to director of development.

Jonny Coller

Ana De Moraes joined Twofour at the start of last year in the newly created formats position after two years at the BBC, but will not be directly replaced.

Her departure comes as Jonny Coller steps up to director of development and joins the group’s management board.

Coller joined Twofour in 2011 and developed a range of shows including Channel 4’s entertainment series The Jump, before rising to head of development in 2014 and overseeing a slate that included The Real Marigold Hotel for BBC1 and One Night With My Ex for Channel 5.

Elsewhere, Edward Phillips has become head of factual and factual entertainment development after eight years on the development team.

He has helped to secure recent commissions including ITV’s forthcoming 12-part business series Give it a Year and BBC1’s The Real Marigold on Tour.

Meanwhile Luke Dolan joins as development executive from rival UK prodco Whizz Kid, having previously been a senior member of the Syco development team. Dolan moved to development after a long career in production with credits that include The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, Ant and Dec’s Gameshow Marathon and Saturday Night Takeaway.

Finally, Anna Abenson joins as senior development producer. Her commissions include BBC2’s Dragons’ Den Pitches to Riches and Smells Like Friday Night for Channel 4.

Prior to moving into development, Abenson produced series ranging from Channel 4’s Gordon Ramsay’s F Word and The Sex Education Show to House of Tiny Tearaways for BBC3.‎

Coller and Phillips will be commencing their roles with immediate effect. Dolan and Abenson will be joining the company later this month.
