Dawn for Liberty’s Horizon

Liberty Global’s ‘next generation’ Horizon TV home entertainment service, which allows users to watch television across devices, has launched in the Netherlands.

The connected triple-play service allows tablets, computers and smartphones to substitute for a TV screen, or be used a second screen. It offers linear, on-demand and online content and has a sophisticated interface that recommends programming.

Liberty’s Dutch cable division, UPC Netherlands, confirmed plans for the launch earlier this year. Horizon will arrive in Switzerland, Germany and Ireland within the next six months.
