Dave goes Undercover with comedy

UKTV channel Dave has commissioned a scripted comedy series about an undercover police officer who infiltrates an Armenian crime family.

Undercover (6×40′) is a coproduction between Bonafide Films and Baby Cow Productions (Gavin & Stacey) and has been co-created and co-written by Andy Milligan (The Rob Brydon Show) and Sacha Alexander (The Gigolos.)

Alexander plays a neurotic and over-analytical police officer who finds himself out of his depth after being tasked to go undercover amongst a set of psychotic Armenian gangsters.

It will be executive produced by Henry Normal for Baby Cow and Margery Bone for Bonafide, who also produces.

The series is being shot in Newcastle and will debut on Dave next year. It was ordered by UKTV director of commissioning Richard Watsham and Dave’s general manager Steve North.
