DSP hires BBC exec as co-MD

The acting head of formats and features commissioning at the BBC is leaving to join Endemol Shine-owned factual prodco Darlow Smithson Productions (DSP).

Donna Clark will join DSP as joint MD alongside existing MD Emily Dalton in March.

Clark commissioned series such as Full Steam Ahead, The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes and The World’s Biggest Flower Market for BBC2 and Eat Well for Less for BBC1 during her time at the UK pubcaster

Prior to joining the BBC in 2015, she was director of factual at Lion TV, where she worked on shows such as Don’t Tell the Bride for BBC3 and The WI Lady’s Guide to Brothels for Channel 4.

DSP’s factual output includes Richard III: The King in the Car Park (Channel 4), 24 Hours in the Past (BBC1) and factual drama including The Mill (Channel 4).
