Czech Republic takes Armoza’s Upgrade

A Czech version of Israeli reality gameshow format Upgrade is in the works after Barrandov TV licensed the property from Armoza Formats.

Local prodco RealTV is making an initial 20-episode run known locally as What’s in your House – Counts, which will debut in the spring.

The format sees a celebrity host enter a family home to offer them the opportunity to upgrade their belongings… or risk losing the ones they already have.

Created by Saar Brodsky and Gilli Golan of ITanin Productions, Upgrade has been remade in countries including in Norway, Denmark, Hungary, Canada, South Korea, India and Turkey. A fifth season has just been commissioned by Peretz channel in Russia. The latest deal is Armoza’s first in the Czech Republic.
