Ceska Televize has picked up free-to-air broadcast rights to around 100 hours of children’s programming from Germany’s Studio 100 Media.

The deal with the Czech Republic pubcaster features approximately 200 half-hours of children’s programming, including CGI series Vic the Viking, Maya the Bee, Molly Monster and Big & Small.

The deal comes soon after Studio 100 licensed CGI series Heidi to Poland’s TVP, to broadcast on the free-to-air kids’ channel TVP ABC. The show will air in Poland from spring 2017.

In related news, Swedish channel SVT Barnkanalen, part of pubcaster SVT, has acquired Kosmoo (13×25’) from Studio 100. The show is a detective story for kids about a bionic dog.

Public kids’ broadcaster NRK Super, part of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, has also acquired Kosmoo and two seasons of fantasy pre-teen show Night Watch (26×25’). Both shows will air in 2017.

Furthermore, Studio 100 has concluded an agreement with Radio-Canada, the public broadcaster in French Canada, covering exclusive free-to-air rights for CGI series Nils Holgersson (52×12’).

The Radio-Canada deal also includes The Wild Adventures of Blinky Bill (52 x 12’) as well as non-exclusive SVoD rights for both shows. Currently in production, both programmes will be ready to air in 2017.
