The Fred Rogers Company has produced Through the Woods, a series about a young boy and his beloved dog as they explore their backyard woods, for Curious World.

“The shorts display key early learning skills like self-regulation, persistence and inquiry, as well as sharing new experiences with loving parents and grandparents,” said Paul Siefken, president and CEO of The Fred Rogers Company.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Oxley and Billy Aronson, creators of preschool show Peg+Cat, have created Melia & Jo, a shorform series about two smart, spunky five-year-old best friends, for Curious World.

The main characters in the series were inspired by pilot Amelia Earhart and iconic singer and entertainer Josephine Baker and the series is intended to help young viewers tackle challenges by thinking outside the box.

Launched in 2015 by learning company Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Curious World’s mobile platform holds more than 1,200 videos of kids’ content tied to key learning areas.
