Crackle pops over to XFinity

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee appears on Crackle

Crackle, Sony Pictures Television’s digital streaming network, will launch on Comcast’s on-demand service XFinity tomorrow.

The launch coincides with Crackle’s digital Upfront presentation for media buyers in New York.

Crackle, first launched by Sony in 2007, is already available on several devices including Sony’s PlayStation consoles, Apple TV and Roku.

Under the latest deal, Crackle original programming will be available to all Xfinity TV subscribers via video-on-demand and Comcast’s Xfinity TV app and website.

Crackle original series include Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and drama The Art of More.

“Our deal with Comcast expands the reach of our content to new audiences across Xfinity On Demand platforms,” said Eric Berger, exec VP of digital networks for SPT and general manager of Crackle. “Now, millions of viewers will be able to access Crackle’s original programming on demand, without having to leave their set-top box environment.”
