Corus unveils W, Showcase line-up

The CW’s Charmed was rebooted with a new cast

Canada’s Corus Entertainment has unveiled programming for the 2018/19 schedules of its channels W Network and Showcase, with shows including The CW’s supernatural duo Charmed and Legacies.

W Network will air three shows from The CW: All American from Greg Berlantia, rebooted supernatural series Charmed and Roswell, New Mexico, based on the Roswell High book series.

The Corus channel has also picked up Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, originally ordered by US network Freeform, the fourth seasons of Outlander and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, plus the third run of The Good Fight.

Showcase, meanwhile, will air series including Legacies, which follows the next generation of supernatural beings from The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, this fall.

Other shows on the slate include the second seasons of Marvel’s Runaways and Absentia, as well as the fourth runs of Supergirl and The Sinner.

Elsewhere, Corus’s ABC Spark network will air two new series, Besties and Good Trouble.

Corus-owned Canadian terrestrial Global earlier revealed it had picked up CBS procedural FBI and NBC medical drama New Amsterdam for its fall schedule.

Global has also renewed Canadian-made shows Mary Kills People and Big Brother Canada for new seasons, and has slated Abby’s, a comedy from the producers of The Good Place, for midseason. The new US dramas join existing acquisitions 9-1-1, Bull, SWAT and the NCIS franchise.
