Coolabi’s Bamsey becomes Factory worker

UK animation firm Factory has appointed the director of production and development at Coolabi Group as its first chief content officer.

Zoë Bamsey

Zoë Bamsey will be responsible for identifying new intellectual property for the firm to work on as part of its ongoing strategy to create its own content.

This follows the company acquiring the rights to classic children’s properties such as Mr Benn for its fledgling brand licensing division earlier this year.

During her time with Coolabi, Bamsey oversaw sales, production, funding and development for shows such as Poppy Cat, The Clangers and Scream Street, with the latter also involving Factory.

Manchester-based Factory said it looked forward to continuing its “long-standing, successful production partnership with Coolabi Group.”

Prior to joining Coolabi in 2010, Bamsey held a variety of roles at the Walt Disney Company, including executive director of programming and director of worldwide programming strategy.
