C21 Kids Content Futures is a one-day event that takes place as part of Content London 2015 on December 1, 2015.

It features a rich mix of sessions around the theme 'Engaging the Butterfly Generation', the generation of kids that just won't settle, anywhere!

What are the most effective content strategies to engage with this most challenging audience and how are the most progressive producers, broadcasters, digital platforms and strategists making it work?

Content case studies, audience research, kids channel sessions, consumer goods sessions and producer & writer panels will examine how to define and meet the demands of this challenging demographic, the primetime viewers of tomorrow.

Output from the event, together with ongoing web content and a series of research papers, will combine to produce the C21Kids Report: Engaging the Butterfly Generation, which will be published in the first quarter of 2016.

We are approaching a broad range of participants to take part in sessions under the following themes:

C21KIDS CONTENT FUTURES: Comedy
With comedy at the top of children's TV exec's shopping lists, action adventure franchises getting an injection of funny, gender differences blurring and memes shaping children's sense of humour online, what will the comedy hits of the future look like?

C21KIDS CONTENT FUTURES: Live-action
A UK tax break for producers of children’s live-action content is set to give the industry a much-needed shot in the arm. This is your chance to hear from the broadcasters commissioning ambitious live-action content and the producers tapping into this new source of funding to get their shows made.

C21KIDS CONTENT FUTURES: Digital originals
TV is no longer the only game in town for animation producers to reach an audience and YouTube is now a viable place to earn a living by going direct to consumer and developing a brand online. We'll speak to those who have built a brand without TV.

C21KIDS CONTENT FUTURES: Trendspotting
How do you engage with audiences on current and emerging platforms in a way that is monetisable? What tech waves should you be surfing to make sure you stay ahead of the game? We'll hear from those ploughing new paths in kids media to see what they think the future holds.
