Conde quits Univision for NBCU

NBCUniversal (NBCU) has poached Univision president Cesar Conde for a newly created role to oversee business development.

Conde, who had been at Univision since 2003, joins NBCU as an exec VP and will oversee the firm’s strategy and special projects as well as the international arm of the firm, where Kevin MacLellan was last week named chairman amid a string of shake-ups.

He will report to Steve Burke, CEO at NBCU, who said: “Cesar is an impressive business executive with both traditional and emerging media expertise.

“His experience leading multiple domestic and international businesses will be instrumental in maximizing all the opportunities to grow our portfolio.”
