Conan bound for UK’s TruTV

Conan O’Brien’s US talkshow will air in the UK for the first time later this year on the soon-to-launch general entertainment channel TruTV.

TBS chatshow Conan will air on Turner Broadcasting’s first free-to-air network in the country at 23.00 (GMT) from August 4, Monday to Thursday.

The hour-long show features interviews with international and Hollywood A-list celebrities, along with stand-up comedy segments and musical performances.

TruTV, which has 93 million subscribers in the US, will be available free on all major UK platforms including Freeview, Freesat and YouView. The channel will also air hit shows from its US parent, including Fear Factor and Killer Karaoke.
