Comedy Channel to air new sitcom

The winners of an Australian comedy award have begun production on a new sitcom for Foxtel-owned pay-TV network The Comedy Channel.

Sean Condon and Rob Hibbert, winners of the 2007 Comedy Gold competition, have started work on I Can’t Believe It’s Not Better, a behind-the-scenes look at a TV sketch comedy show.

Condon and Hibbert who won a A$25,000 (US$21,784) development grant for the project as part of their 2007 prize.

A special, screening of the show will be held on the channel later this year.

I Can’t Believe It’s Not Better is directed by Erin White, and is exec produced by Darren Chau of The Comedy Channel.
