CMT extends Party Down South

Viacom-owned US cablenet CMT has confirmed that unscripted series Party Down South will return for a third season in the winter of 2015.

The reality series follows a group of adults who spend the summer in a house in a southern US state.

CMT recently aired Party Down South: The After Party, a one-off special that brought cast members together to look back at the most dramatic events from their summer in Athens, Georgia, which formed the basis of the show’s second season.

The network claims Party Down South, produced by 495 Productions with Jersey Shore creator SallyAnn Salsano exec producing, has become its highest-rated original series ever.
