Cineflix takes mega family to MipTV

UK-based distributor Cineflix Rights has picked up a US reality series about a family from rural Tennessee that includes 19 children aged between two and 25.

Cineflix has taken rights to both 34×30′ seasons of Bringing Up Bates, which follows Gil and Kelly Jo Bates as they raise their huge family.

The series is produced by Figure 8 Films (19 Kids & Counting) and was commissioned by US network UpTV, which is due to launch the show’s second season in June.

Meanwhile, Cineflix has also picked up rights to three seasons of hotel makeover series At Your Service, which follows a pair of hotel experts and brothers as they give business makeovers to distressed hospitality establishments in Ireland.

The series first aired on Irish pubcaster RTÉ in 2008 and was produced by Hollywood-based Waddell Media.
