Cineflix attracted by An Ordinary Woman

An Ordinary Woman centres on a prostitution ring run from a flower shop

UK-based distributor Cineflix Rights has acquired the worldwide rights to a Russian drama about a florist with a dark secret.

An Ordinary Woman (8×60’) is directed by Boris Khlebnikov and produced by 1-2-3 Production and Look Film. It was originally created for Russian free-to-air channel TV-3.

The series tells the story of a woman who runs a prostitution ring from her flower shop.

The deal to acquire the drama was brokered by Julien Leroux, senior VP of global scripted coproductions at Cineflix Media, and Richard Life, VP of acquisitions at Cineflix Rights.

The distributor will present the show at Mipcom next month.
