China’s QQ collects Collection

The Collection

The Collection is set in the world of post-war haute couture

China’s Tencent Holdings has picked up fashion drama The Collection from BBC Worldwide (BBCWW), the commercial arm of the BBC.

The deal was unveiled on the second day of Asia Television Forum in Singapore.

Under the agreement, the eight-episode drama will launch exclusively on the Tencent QQ platform in January. Tencent also has distribution rights to the series in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.

The Collection is set in the world of French haute couture after the Second World War and hails from writer, creator and showrunner Oliver Goldstick.

The show is a Lookout Point and Artis Pictures Production coproduced with Amazon Studios, Federation Entertainment, MFP and Masterpiece, with the participation of France Télévisions and BBC Worldwide, in association with Tencent Distribution.
