Master Class features children performing classic songs

Keshet International’s Master Class talent show format is expanding its reach in China with a commission for a second season from two satellite channels.

Chinese producer 3C Media will produce the second 12-episode run of the show, which sees children perform classic musical hits to only positive reviews and without eliminations.

The first Chinese season aired on Beijing Satellite TV, which, alongside fellow satellite channel Yunnan TV, will also show the second series.

The first season ran from March to June this year in Saturday evening primetime. The Chinese episodes have also been sold to Singapore’s digital channel network Singtel.

The show originated in Israel, where it is now in its third season, and has also aired in Hungary, Greece and Slovenia.

In related news, Indonesian broadcaster and producer RCTI has ordered a second 24-episode run of Keshet International’s Rising Star format to air at the end of next year.
