CHF brings in commercial director

UK production firm Cosgrove Hall Fitzpatrick (CHF) Entertainment, the company formed by the founders of toon studio Cosgrove Hall, has named Jenny Johnstone as its new commercial director.

Johnstone joins CHF from the UK’s Licensing Management International where she was business development director, working on licensing opportunities for shows including HBO’s Game of Thrones.

In her new role, Johnstone will develop commercial opportunities for CHF’s properties, including its Channel 5 preschool series Pip Ahoy!, as well as explore new revenue streams for the company.

She will also lead a team charged with expanding the company’s broadcast distribution business, working closely with Irish producer-distributor Monster Entertainment.

Cosgrove Hall was known as the producer of the original Danger Mouse series which ran for ten seasons from 1981 to 1992 on CiTV in the UK. CHF launched a new commercial distribution, development and production arm led by former Universal exec Brendan Kelly a year ago.
