Chello goes wild for Kratts

Liberty Global-backed Chello Media has picked up rights to the first season of Canadian kids cartoon Wild Kratts, while broadcasters in EMEA have returned for 26 more episodes.

Season one (40×22′) of the adventure toon, aimed at kids aged four to nine, will now be available on Chello-owned channels across Eastern Europe, including Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic and Albania.

Meanwhile, MediaCorp in Singapore, Primetime in Columbia, TV3 in Spain, Discovery Kids Latin America, Al Jazeera Children’s Channel and Israel’s Noga Communications have all picked up season two (26×22′) of the series.

The toon is distributed internationally by 9 Story Entertainment of Toronto, which also coproduces it with The Kratt Brothers Company. The series airs in Canada on TVOntario, Knowledge and Tele-Quebec, and in the US on PBS Kids Go.
