Channel 4 brings Black-ish to UK

The UK’s Channel 4 has acquired the local rights to ABC comedy Black-ish for its youth-skewing digital net E4.

Produced by ABC Studios, Black-ish has been acquired from distributor Disney UK & Ireland.

It stars Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross and Laurence Fishburne and focuses on a modern man who fears he has lost touch with his roots.

Written by Kenya Barris, the first season will premiere on E4 in October. The show has aired three seasons, totalling 50 episodes, on ABC in the US.
