Celestial Tiger preps OTT net

Pan-Asian channels operator Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE) is launching an over-the-top (OTT) linear feed for its action entertainment channel KIX in Singapore.

Male-skewing Kix 360 will make its debut in the country in the fourth quarter of 2015 before being rolled out across the region next year.

The high-definition OTT network will offer similar combat sports, action series and movies to the existing KIX channel but will be curated for mobile viewing. Longform and shortform programming will be available, including Bellator MMA, Glory World Series and Top Gear USA.

CTE CEO Todd Miller said the net would “ensure a great viewing experience on screens large and small.”

The company revealed it had ordered a reality show as its first original production in April and more recently agreed carriage deals in Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines.
