Celestal Tiger roars through Asia

Pan-Asian entertainment channels operator Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE) has signed carriage deals extending its coverage to Laos, Cambodia and Indonesia.

CTE channels included in the deals include Celestial Movies (CM), the 24-hour, first-run Chinese movie channel; Celestial Classic Movies (CCM); action-entertainment channel Kix; and horror and thriller movie network Thrill.

Laosat, the leading provider of satellite and DTH TV service operator in the country, has picked up Kix and Thrill, marking CTE’s first foray into the territory.

Indonesian cable pay TV provider First Media, also known as Link Net, has acquired Celestial Movies and Kix.

Cambodia’s PPCTV, which currently carries CCM and provides cable TV services and broadband Internet, has signed up for Kix.
