CEE wins Red Arrow’s Match

Match originally aired on NRK

A broadcaster and VoD service have ordered local versions of Scandinavian comedy Match in Central and Eastern Europe, having picked up the format from Red Arrow Studios International.

Match (20×14’) was originally produced by Norwegian prodco Ape & Bjørn for local pubcaster NRK. The format sees a 20-something guy pursued by two sports presenters who give a running commentary on everything he does.

FTV Prima acquired the rights to Einstein

Free-to-air broadcaster Pro Plus is working on a Slovenian version for its linear channel and OTT platform Voyo. Meanwhile, Mall TV, a new VoD service from e-commerce outfit Mall Group which is due to launch in the autumn, has commissioned local prodco FilmBrigade to adapt the format for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

It is the latest CEE remake for a scripted format from the Red Arrow catalogue ahead of Natpe Budapest next week.

The distributor has also sold the rights to crime procedural Einstein (20×45’/1×90’ pilot) to Czech commercial broadcaster FTV Prima. The drama is centres on the great-grandson of Albert Einstein, a science genius who uses his eccentric mind to help the police solve crimes.

The original series was created and produced by Zeitsprung Pictures for Germany’s Sat.1.

The deals were completed by Stefanie Ströbel, senior sales manager for CEE, CIS and Greece at Red Arrow Studios International.
