CBS ups DeBevoise

CBS has promoted Marc DeBevoise to president and chief operating officer of its interactive division, handing the exec additional responsibilities across areas including entertainment, sports and gaming.

DeBevoise takes over from former CBS Interactive chief Jim Lanzone, who was himself promoted earlier this month to CBS chief digital officer.

In his prior role as exec VP and general manager of CBS Digital Media, DeBevoise steered the creation and launch of standalone streaming service CBS All Access and 24-hour online news network CBSN.

In his new post he adds oversight of all CBS Interactive brands including CNET Media Group and will continue to lead the TV group’s digital media businesses.
