CBS TV Studios hires drama execs

CBS Television Studios has hired execs from US network Fox and talent and production firm Management 360 to bolster its drama development team.

Management 360’s Meghan Lyvers and Fox’s Brianna Bennett have joined the studio’s drama division as senior VP and VP of drama development, respectively. Both will work under Julie McNamara, exec VP of drama development for broadcast and cable.

While at Television 360, a division of Management 360, Lyvers oversaw the department’s development and production slate that included Avenues of Spies, Heartland Trucking and The Terror.

Bennett was director of drama development at Fox where she worked on series such as Sleepy Hollow and The Following. This marks her second stint at CBS having previously worked as an assistant in comedy development before joining The CW as a drama development coordinator.

The appointments follow the return of the previous VP of drama development Beth Miyares, who joined Fox in June after four years at CBC TV Studios.

Meanwhile, CBS TV Studios president David Stapf and Armando Nuñez, president and CEO of CBS Global Distribution Group, will deliver a joint keynote address as part of Mipcom’s Media Mastermind Keynote Series.

The CBS Studios Global Content Keynote is scheduled for Tuesday, October 14, and the execs will tackle topics including the rise of event programming, new relationships with digital partners, CBS’s year-round programming strategy and the global appetite for CBS and Showtime content.
