CBS Studios unveils six-pack

LA SCREENINGS: CBS Studios International will have four of next season’s new dramas and two comedies on offer to buyers next week, plus two summer event series.

Drama
Bull Amblin TV, CBS TV Studios, Stage 29 Productions. Based on Phil McGraw (aka Dr Phil) and his early career at a trial consultancy firm. It will air on Tuesdays at 21.00 this fall on CBS.

MacGyver Atomic Monster, CBS TV Studios, Lionsgate. Reboot of Lee David Zlotof’s show from the 1980s, with Henry Winkler exec producing. It will air on Fridays at 20.00 this fall on CBS.

Doubt CBS TV Studios, Timberman-Beverly Productions. A successful defence attorney falls for one of her clients who might have committed a brutal crime. Redeveloped from the 2015-2016 season. It will air in mid-season on CBS.

MacGyver opens Fridays on CBS

No Tomorrow CBS TV Studios, Electus, Grupo Globo. Remake of Brazilian drama How to Enjoy the End of the World, about a risk-averse woman who falls for a man who thinks the apocalypse is imminent. It will air next season on The CW.

Man With a Plan CBS TV Studios, 3 Arts Entertainment. Matt LeBlanc (Friends, Episodes and soon Top Gear) stars in this multi-cam comedy about a stay-at-home husband. It will air on Mondays at 20.30 from October on CBS.

Man With a Plan stars Matt LeBlanc

The Great Indoors CBS TV Studios. Multi-camera comedy about a roving reporter who has to adapt to the digital world. It will air on Thursdays at 20.30 from October 27 on CBS.

The studio will also be screening summer series American Gothic (13×60’) and Braindead (13×60’), both of which debut on CBS in June. Previously announced American Gothic is from CBS TV Studios and Amblin TV, and was created by Corinne Brinkerhoff and James Frey.

Alien thriller Braindead, ordered last summer, was created by Robert King and Michelle King and is being made by CBS TV Studios, Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions.
