CBS Reality hears from serial killers

CBS Reality in the UK has commissioned its latest original true crime series, a 10-part docudrama that goes to the heart of police interrogations of serial killers.

Voice of a Serial Killer will premiere on the channel, which is owned by AMC Networks International and CBS Studios International, on Wednesday November 1 at 22.00.

The series brings to life the audio taken from confessions from some of the world’s most notorious murderers including Robert Black, Colin Ireland, Kim Edwards, Ted Bundy and Aileen Wuornos.

Monster Films (Interview with a Murderer), the prodco founded by Rik Hall and David Howard, is producing the series, with Paul Heaney’s TCB Media Rights handling international distribution.

CBS Reality director of programming Sam Rowden, who is also executive producer on the series, said: “The murders examined in Voice of a Serial Killer represent some of the most evil acts in history.

“To listen to the actual taped confessions of the perpetrators, using realistic lip-sync technology, is as chilling as it gets. Our viewers will both hear and see the police interrogations, in some cases for the first time ever.”

The show joins an expanding list of original programmes from CBS Reality that already includes Murderers and their Mothers, Stalkers Who Kill, The Day I Should Have Died and Killer Clergy.
