CBS prescribes medical drama

US network CBS is developing a new medical drama from two of the creative team behind sci-fi thriller Under the Dome.

Windward Clinic is being written by Under the Dome producer Alexandra McNally and exec produced by showrunner Neal Baer and explores the day-to-day operations of a health care centre in LA.

The show is being produced by CBS TV Studios and is the latest medical show for Baer, who first worked on ER for NBC before moving on to develop CBS’s The Three Behrs.

Windward Clinic is among a string of medical dramas to hit the slates of the US networks, with numerous shows in development and NBC’s Critical and Fox’s The Cure ordered recently.
