CBS gives 9JKL Big Bang lead-in

UPFRONTS: CBS’s fall schedule sees new sitcom 9JKL joining the Monday Comedy Block immediately after The Big Bang Theory.

9JKL, from CBS Television Studios, stars Mark Feuerstein as a freshly divorced actor between projects and has been given the coveted 20.30 slot after sitcom juggernaut The Big Bang Theory.

Big Bang spin-off Young Sheldon will have a special preview episode in that slot following the main show on September 25 before switching to Thursday at 20.30.

Once NFL Thursday Night Football ends at the end of October, Big Bang will move to Thursdays with Kevin Can Wait taking the Monday 20.00 slot. Fledgling comedy Me, Myself and I from Warner Bros and CBS Television Studios will begin at 21.30 on Mondays before coming forward to 21.00.

Tuesday nights are unchanged and Survivor will continue to lead in on Wednesdays, followed by new military drama Seal Team at 21.00. Criminal Minds shifts to 22.00 for its 13th season.

Friday has three returning series, starting with MacGyver at 20.00, followed by Hawaii Five-O and then Blue Bloods at 22.00.

New drama Wisdom of the Crowd will follow 60 Minutes on Sundays.
