CBS cancels Mike & Molly

US network CBS is pulling the plug on its romantic comedy Mike & Molly after six seasons.

The show’s co-star Rondi Reed announced the news yesterday on Facebook: “Before you hear it elsewhere (and some already have) this is the final and sixth season of Mike & Molly on CBS.”

Mike & Molly hails from producer Warner Bros Television and stars The Hangover actor Melissa McCarthy.

Its sixth season premieres on January 6 next year.
