CBeebies shows faith in Three Arrows

Three Arrows Media's Treasure Champs

Three Arrows Media’s Treasure Champs

CBeebies in the UK has commissioned a series about faith and values from Three Arrows Media, the Manchester-based indie launched by former Zodiak and BBC execs last year.

Treasure Champs (30×15′) is aimed at older preschoolers and explores the values common to different faiths and cultures such as generosity, empathy and honesty.

Due to air next year, it will follow the adventures of two animated characters as they explore a different value – or ‘treasure’ – in each episode.

The series will be produced by Three Arrows Media, which was set up by children’s TV producers Jon Hancock and David Hallam after they left their roles at the BBC and Zodiak Kids.

Treasure Champs will be executive produced by Michael Towner for CBeebies and by Hancock (Mr Bloom’s Nursery) and Hallam (Fort Boyard: Ultimate Challenge) for Three Arrows Media.

“Championing positive, common values has become increasingly important, both in society and education, and we hope our young viewers will find Treasure Champs to be both informative and inspirational,” said Kay Benbow, controller of CBeebies.
