US cable channel Cartoon Network will begin launching its content live across multiple platforms as part of parent Time Warner’s TV Everywhere initiative.

Programmes such as Regular Show, MAD and Adventure Time will soon be available live on platforms including Cartoonnetwork.com, iPads, iPhones and iPod Touchs.

“It is our commitment to the TV Everywhere strategy to let our audiences enjoy our shows whenever and wherever they want,” said Stuart Snyder, president and chief operating officer of Turner Broadcasting System’s animation, young adults and kids’ media division.

US DTH operators including Time Warner and Comcast are backing TV Everywhere as a way of offering their content to paying subscribers on any device at any time.

This week, C21 reported that DirecTV had signed a content deal with Starz Entertainment for its DirecTV Everywhere service, which is in beta.
